Report an Absence (Sixth Form only)

PLEASE NOTE:

-When a student is absent for more than one day, their absence must be reported on each day that they are off.

-Medical appointments must be made outside of the school day whenever possible.

-Planned medical appointments will only be authorised if the student has completed the pink form and submitted it along with evidence of the appointment (such as a letter or text from the doctor). The pink form requires the signatures of a parent and the teachers whose form time or lessons will be missed.

-Where the absence is longer than five days, or there are doubts about the authenticity of the illness, the school will ask for appropriate medical evidence. We will not ask for medical evidence unnecessarily. If the school is not satisfied about the authenticity of the illness, the absence will be recorded as unauthorised and parents will be notified of this in advance.
