We are inviting Year 11 students to an after-school session to plan their GCSE revision timetables (the timetable will start on 2 April and finish the week beginning 20 June).
It was a special World Book Day this year as it was its 25th birthday! To mark the big day on 3 March, we ran a book fair in the Library in partnership with David's Bookshop in Letchworth.
Talk the Talk came back to deliver another brilliant confident communication workshop this week, this time to our Year 9 students. Led by highly experienced trainers, Talk the Talk sessions teach students how to overcome nerves, speak with confidence and clarity, and engage their audience.
Love is in the air at the HGS Library - literally! Inspired by Valentine's Day, the school reading group has been busy decorating the Library with strings of love hearts.
On Saturday 5 February, six students took part in the Hertfordshire Schools Cross Country Championships across the various age groups. Despite some very windy and muddy conditions, the effort and determination from all of the girls was outstanding.
Our Food Club students enjoyed making shaped shortbread this week! Mrs Hart was pleased to award HGS Star Baker wooden spoons to Sadie in Year 8 and Indiya in Year 7 for their organisation and high quality shortbread! Great work everyone!
