Following nominations from our Charity Prefects across the school, we have narrowed down the many superb charities and are very pleased to announce that this year HGS will be supporting Happy Days Children's Charity and Hitchin Pantry.
Talk the Talk were in school this week to run their spoken communication workshops for our Year 7s and Year 13s, with activities designed to promote confident communication, self-esteem, resilience and a better relationships.
Eco Club worked with local community group Hitchin Nature Network and North Herts Council to sow some Yellow Rattle seeds on the verge outside the school grounds on Windmill Hill.
This year's Peer Mentoring volunteers had their training day with experts from Phase Hitchin, covering positive communication practices with an emphasis on good listening skills.

For current Year 6 pupils and their families, we are running open mornings including a tour of the school and opportunities to meet teachers and other key staff members.
