Key Stage 4 Performance 2023

Performance data for Key Stage 4 was published in October 2023. The outcomes for students at Hitchin Girls’ School are shown in the table below.

Please note: Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years.

We are exceptionally proud of the results achieved by our students, especially considering the challenges they have faced as an ongoing result of the pandemic.
 

Key Stage 5 Performance 2023

Due to the pandemic, this year's cohort of Year 13 students did not sit GCSE examinations in the traditional way. Because of this no progress (value added) measures were published by the DfE this year. The DfE therefore comments that direct comparisons are not made with data from previous years, or directly with other providers. Comparisons to local or national averages should be made with caution. 

Headline figures:

• The average point score was 36.07 (B-).
• 81.1% of our students gained three A Levels.
• Retention (% of students reaching the end of their main programme of study) was 97.4%.

These figures will be validated in February 2024.
